BCOMING Advisory Board Meeting
Every project requires good planning, and proper expertise on board to provide guidance and assistance to consortium members throughout the project implementation.
During our 1st Advisory Board meeting, which took place on the 4th of November, we were glad to e-meet our Advisory Board members and discuss the project’s vision and objectives. Our Advisory Board consists of seven members:
- Philippe Chardonnet (IUCN)
- Sophie von Dobschuetz (FAO)
- André Furco (WOAH)
- Seck Ismaila (FAO )
- Estreguil Christine ( JRC – ISPRA)
- Helene Soubelet (Fondationbiodiversite )
- Serge Morand (CNRS & CIRAD)
At the meeting, we had thorough discussions on the project’s key objectives and made special mention of European and local spillover projects with which BCOMING can potentially build fruitful collaborations and joint activities.
Additionally, an interesting conversation was raised on biodiversity and how this topic is properly integrated and covered by BCOMING, the complexity of the biodiversity ecosystems, and what methods and simulations BCOMING will follow to extract data. In this context, our project coordinator, Julien Cappelle presented the AGENT-based model and the participatory approach.
Our project just started! An exciting period is ahead!
